Underfloor girder system.
Stinger 580 underfloor floor frame and stringers - all Stinger models have the same underfloor subframe system, although dimensions vary from model to model.
For the fishermen who want to get to those “hard to get to” places, there is nothing to match the performance, economy and strength of a “Stinger” Longboat.

The Hull underfloor structure members run full length with closed cell polyurethane foam blocks put in place before the fitting of the floor. The underfloor members are fibreglass construction, when the lay-up is complete the underfloor members are an integral part of the hull
This cross girder type of construction gives incredible strength and rigidity to the hull. The under floor members are extended up the side of the boat to just under the gunnel cap.

The floor is glassed in making a complete hull and floor system of immense strength.

“Stinger” Boats have stood the test of time when it comes to sheer strength and ruggedness, with over 400 already in service in PNG, the Torres Strait and all states of Australia.
Full length running strakes have extra layer of 450 gram double bias cloth.
An important part of the "lay-up" is the layer of 600 gram woven roving.
Polyurethane Foam blocks are being painted with polyester resin prior to fitting. Positive foam flotation blocks are installed as standard in all Stinger models and far exceed USL code requirements.
Polyurethane Foam blocks in place between the floor frame members prior to the floor being fixed and glassed in.
